The thought came to me whist sitting a in a traffic jam at Kiama, south of Sydney, heading for a weekend away. I had recently bought a camper trailer, the old Tent-on-a-Box-Trailer type. Beside me in the traffic was a ute with a trailer carrying 3 motorbikes & the back of the ute was full of swags & camping gear. I said to myself ‘I’d love to be riding a bike this weekend’, I then looked in the rear vision mirror & thought ‘but I have got a comfortable bed back there’. And that is when the idea was born, I spent the entire weekend scribbling on pieces of paper to come up with the initial design.
